After many months of creation and preparation, the highly anticipated Grand Opening of the new 'Super Target' got off to a booming start today !

... and there was no sign of a lacking economy if the shoppers there had any say in it !

This Target Store is part of the newly renovated Bergen Town Center mall in Paramus, NJ, which will see many great stores including the likes of

  • The Nike Factory Store
  • Century 21 Department Store
  • Marshalls
  • Filenes Basement
  • Nordstrom Rack
  • Chuck E Cheese's
  • Whole Foods
  • and others

... and yes, the Super Target !

So in support of this terrific event, we took a 'family trip' there ourselves !!!

       ... but we went during the special "Sneak Preview" Last night !!!! Ha !!! Before the crazy rush today ! ... and yes I was back there today just to check out the doorbusters, and it was a madhouse !

                            In front of the Target Bergen Town Center



The first thing we noticed was the shopping carts were different to any store we'd seen before - they were entirely plastic - no metal at all. For shopping carts ? - They were lightweight, easy to maneuver, and pretty cool !

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

(my wife looks pretty good for 8 months pregnant right !!!!!!) 

 

Then as we got into the store we saw that it was HUGE !!!

...and actually had more aisles than the next nearest Target, including more food aisles like this refrigerator cold cuts section !!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


The layout was great, the staff were trained well, and were very pleasant and accommodating.

We did our part to stimulate the economy by buying a lot of essential items as you can see here ...

 

 

 


...and after getting well acquainted with the whole store, we saw the cherry on the top !

     ... this Target has a STARBUCKS INSIDE !!!!!!!!

 


"A Target Store AND a Starbucks in ONE PLACE !!!!!! You're Kidding !!!!!"


No people it's true !!! And this has now become my favorite place in the neighborhood !!!


Next week, the review of the Grand Opening of
Bergen Town Center's "WHOLE FOODS Store !!!"

Betina !!  ... yes this one was on 'Sale' this week and he had some appeal, so we scooped him up and put him in our cart !!!! LOLOLOLOL !!!!

Anne !! Are we related !?!?!? Because we have the same outlook on a number of posts recently and ESPECIALLY our excitement for TARGET !!! -- I think that's really fun that you noticed the plastic carts and food aisles etc... that made me smile ! .... Hi mate-The comments keep coming. Like rabbits that keep multiplying. You get more exposure than a babies bare behind. Must be everybody likes Mr Cheerio. LOL So when is the trip to the Whole Foods place. BTW-If I find funny blogs I think you'll like I'll leave them for you but YOU do get around so it might be tough to find a good one you haven't commented on. Variety is the spice of life they say. Looks like Target is going in the way of Walmart, all those refrigerators. Starbucks is a great idea. I mean, priceless for both parties. Just like it is in the Barnes-N-Noble. Hundreds+ of people walking by as opposed to driving by. What a great real estate sale for Target. They must get big bucks for that space.

Well since you said "anywhere" could you please just have them tear down the rest of the half torn down store a quarter mile from my office and build it there.  The store looks bad and I think it could be hurting business.  A target would look nice on that corner.  It is a US Highway.  That should help you convince your peeps.

Carole ! HAHAHAHAHAHAH !!!! ... I was all set to go out in the towel as it was a balmy night, but my son has developed a habit of yanking them of, which he thinks is absolutely hysterical, and I just wasnt sure that the shoppers at Target would have been expecting that at their Grand Opening ???
