A conversation I had with an economics teacher

I was in contact with some teachers and an economics teacher resented my comment that "It is a great time to buy for first time buyers". He said this is not a great time to buy since we are heading into a depression. After several emails the point I made that is undeniable is that in many parts of Southern California where I am, Rent is more expensive than owning a home. Home pricing in parts are under $199k. With that said, most would rather live in a home than an apartment. Therefore "First time buyers,it is a great time to buy". I rest my case.
