Ever wonder when you go to your brokerage's awards banquet and see some fellow agents cross the stage in the "top producer" categories?  You can hear the whispers and gasps as their colleagues around various tables try and figure out how these agents out produced them over the past year.  I personally have been one of those trying to figure out what they were doing and I wasn't!

These Realtors quietly go about their day making appointments, preparing market evaluations, showing properties, writing contracts and then collect their commissions for the month and do it all over again.  They are consistent, deliberate and driven to succeed! 

Here is how they are doing it...

Hard Work ethic is necessary to achieve anything in life,agreed?.  These agents recognize that they need to be self starters and are extremely motivated to get the job done each and every day.  They are exceptionally good at managing time blocks and moving from one business activity to the next!

Determination and drive is what gets these agents out of bed in the morning.  Where many agents see problems they see opportunity and a chance to create business for themselves.

Prospecting is the deciding factor between mediocrity and great success in real estate!  The practitioners of this discipline will out produce any one agent with a huge SOI (Sphere of Influence) hands down every time.  Guess what the top producers are doing???

Goal Oriented agents break down their goals from year to month to day and achieve it!  Instead of them being overwhelmed at the idea of producing 50 or 100 ends a year, they break it down into smaller bite sized portions.  Little goals achieved = Large goal accomplished

Focus on an aspect of the real estate business such as neighborhoods, waterfront, recreational, modular homes etc.  They decide to be an expert in a particular neighborhood and as a result it generates them continual referral based business. 

What you won't be finding these agents doing is standing around the water cooler all the time, or sitting in their office staring at a wall, or anything else that may distract them from achieving their goals for the day!
