Lost Weekend

So my weekend starts on Friday by dropping off the kids to their mothers house and then the plan is to do the usual rehearsal/concert thing on Friday and Saturday (I also play Bass in the Fort Wayne Philharmonic in addition to being an Agent) and have plans to take my Yukon to the mechanic late Friday evening..but wait I wouldn't go the whole weekend without a car would I? So my stepson much too agreeably loans me his car for the weekend.  I get home Friday night after rehearsal and dropping off my car around 11 p.m, hmm I'd better check my loaner for the weekend because he said it needed gas and the brakes were "acting" up....not even enough gas in it to start it, yea it needs gas alright...So here's Hillbilly Brian riding his bike to the gas station on a Friday night at 11:30 pm to get gas how nice.

Ah...car starts I'm in good shape....wait he said something about the brakes right? Why is the brake pedal going all the way to the floor?.hmmm better look into that.  So now it's after midnight and I'm into a brake job and aren't there supposed to be two brake pads per caliper? I guess that explains the why the grinding sound was soooo loud....hour and a half later waaallla...new pads installed and I'm good to go better get some sleep before tomorrow...oh, maybe I should take it on a test run around the neighborhood just to be sure.....well that isn't safe to drive, I wonder why the brake pedal is still going to the floor? Ohhhh as I pull back into my garage that pool of brake fluid might explain why. Thankfully my mechanic got me my Yukon back by late Saturday but I still spent All day Sunday fixing my stepson's car and in these situations you find out who your friends really are when they have to shlep you around...guess who's going with me to put up Open House signs the next time I do an Open House!! Sunday night and it's finally time to relax
