Barbie Turns 50!!

By
Real Estate Agent with Re/Max Plus

It's hard to believe, but the iconic Barbie Doll turns 50 this week. Barbie has just about done it all. Her careers have ranged from astronaut to presidential candidate to pediatrician.

As a woman, it's been interesting to watch the values of society reflected in the many incarnations of the Barbie Doll. As controversial as she's been over the years, she's certainly shown young girls that they can do anything they put their minds to.

I'm sure the unstopable Barbie will be around for years to come. I just have one question... When can we expect REAL ESTATE BARBIE?!

 Real Estate Barbie?

Hi Kristen ~ Great idea! and atually kind of surprising that there hasn't been a real estate Barbie. There's a collector's book filled with photos of early Barbies and their outfits - I was never a huge fan but my childhood friend had a bunch of them - whoa! - the book brought back so many memories.

Liz, that book sounds interesting. And I agree, I'm surprised we haven't been represented yet, too!
