Do you really want me to call you?

I still find myself questioning "out loud" of course the consumers that will visit a website and inquire about a certain property, leave an email and/or phone number and then never reply back or return the call.

Are you really interested in the property?  Or have you joined a special group that gets kicks out of sending out inquiries only to ignore the responses?  I mean, I may not spend a lot of time gathering the information you requested, but, I am sure I could have found something more meaningful to do for those 15-20 minutes, like make a nice cup of French Vanilla coffee to enjoy while working with my "serious" clients.

Obviously, the thought of owning either your first home or a new home has entered your mind because you are searching the internet and/or driving around the town looking at homes.  I would love to help you.  I have a great mortgage guy and I would spend plenty of time walking you through the home.  I might even help you take some pictures and keep some notes.

But, you have to answer the email and your phone.  If you have changed your mind and have found someone else to work with, no problem.  I would only wish you the best and send you on your way.  Just let me know.  I have a rule to only call and email twice.  If I don't hear back from you, I will assume you are not that interested.  It would really be nice to hear from you the reason you're not returning my calls or emails.

I really would like to work with you.  This is my job and I love it.  Please give me a chance to help you in finding that perfect little home.

I will be waiting....while enjoying my cup of coffee.

Sometimes people do not answer their emails or phone calls but I give them more than twice

It's a numbers game.  It's been my experience that buyers and sellers make multiple inquiries from various Realtors or Mortgage Companies, get a response and take their time responding. Ultimately persistence pays off and one of many procrastinators becomes a buyer or seller.

Love this post. that's exactly what I wonder. However my rule of thumb is 3 strikes and you're out.

1st, maybe the massege or email did not get through.

2nd, maybe they didn't get a chance to respond yet.

3rd, forget about it.

Russ & Lori-  I stop after 2 times only because I figure any more calls or emails would be the beginning of pestering and I definately do not want to harass anyone.  Thanks for commenting.....maybe an extra call or email....you never know.

Irena- well, maybe it's just me then....maybe I should think about that extra call or email.  Thanks for stopping by.

Just shows the little attention span that we now have.  I figure that until I hear a "no" they can at least get my newsletter or something.

Tina ---interesting post --- people are funny --- I often thought about the same thing.  Why call a Realtor is you don't have any interest in purchasing --- I guess only out of curiosity.
