One of the things my husband and I used to do a lot before the wee babe (now bigger than their one grandmother, and headed to overtake the other in height soon) came along changing our entertainment choices from small theater dramatic performances to Disney movies and the Circus. Here we are discussing possible career choices and their associated schooling, and we realized "Woohoo! No more Kidz Bop in the car...no more Disney movies." We can go to First Friday Art Walk in Ashland and Third Friday Art Walk in Medford. We can go to the theater. And we can do this without hearing every couple of minutes "are we going home soon?"!
So at the Rotary Club of Ashland - Lithia Springs' Crab Fest night, we were avidly bidding on the Camelot Theatre Company season tickets. And we won! This small 100 seat, year round theater located in Talent Oregon (great location name for this theater company, don't you think?) is right up our alley, and we are so looking forward to going to see our first performance there, "Shenandoah".
As much as we've enjoyed singing along with Barney and covering our eyes during Finding Nemo, we're looking forward to having a few years of grown up entertainment before the grandbabies start rolling along.
See you out there!

Karen,
This sounds like a well earned respite, but there's nothing like those grandbabies... They melt your heart.
