The Recent Stimulus Bill signed by President Obama on Feb 17, 2009 is a great for buyers. Officially titled the "American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009," encourages buyer to purchase a home between Dec 31, 2008 and Dec 1, 2009. Their are a few simple rules to follow in order to qualify but one thing is clear, now is a great time to purchase a home! The best part of this tax credit is it doesn't have to be repaid, however if the home is sold or ceases being a principal residence within three years, then the entire credit would have to be repaid.
