Bear Market Rally or return of the running Bulls?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

As I write this post I am listening to the talking heads at CNBC and wondering if anyone there really has any clue about what is going on. Personally I am hoping for the start of a Bull Market but I am old enough to know that just bringing back the "uptick rule" won't determine the answer. File:Bull and bear.jpg

If indeed this turns out to be the starting point for a Bull run then I guess we could conclude that the financial course we are on is starting to produce fruit. What do you think? Are you bullish or bearish?

Terry - I am an eternal optimist whose hopes are always up! Right now the market is up for the second day in a row! The pragmatic part of me knows that we are in for a long haul but the recovery has to start sometime.

John, sometime would be 36 months from the start of the recession, according to several noted economists.  We need to remember, our country has been in this same position many times before, we always manage to come out of it.

I like to be optimistic as well.  However, I don't think it will ever be as it was when you consider it was based on falsehoods.

I wish that I was bullish - I am just not there yet.

Wendy - I often look at the past with rose colored glasses and think things may never be better than the old days. However the old days were not how I remember them. I'm pretty sure that if you knew or lived with anyone who lived through the great depression they would have told you stories that echoed your sentiment that the economy was based on falsehoods. We survived that and we will survive this!

Matt - I'm not bullish just yet, but another weekly gain on the markets would help push me in that direction!

I'm with you... optimistic.  Buyers are coming out now, which is great for real estate and will help turn things around.  Everything is linked together.
