What is a Zaxby's???

I have to admit my eyebrow was raised when I saw the sign "Zaxby's Coming Soon" by the roadside. As in everything, google lead me to the answer. It is a very popular chicken franchise restaurant.

I dropped in to take pictures but the manager said I needed corporate approval so I cannot post them. I ordered wings to try them out. In my humble opinion I wouldn't say they are better than KFC (considering I love KFC).

So if you are in The Colony, TX. I suggest you give them a shot. They are located at 4547 Main St. You cannot miss them.

BTW- The crushed ice is a nice perk with the soft drinks.

Great localism post Mel! Silly that they said you'd need permission to give them a good write up with pictures!

Susan, it was noon and they only had one customer. It is a shame because the food is pretty good. However, KFC is about 100 ft north of them.

Mel... maybe you should go back and check the booth you were at, perhaps the purple garment is there.

Cynthia, you are funny. I am somewhat of a carnivore. The chicken was fresh as they advertised. I guess you will have to take my word for it!

I am wondering what secret that they thought they would be protecting by keeping you from posting pictures of an eating area?

Corporate approval huh? I find that funny considering it is free advertising. Maybe he thought you were going to slam 'em for something, haha. :)

Solid, large pictures Mel of this new chicken establishment. Next time I swing through The Colony I'll check it out.

You need to try their really hot wings ... nuclear or the insane ones ... ouch they're hot! Also they have REALLY good salads so you should give those a try!

It's not a bad little place, and they are spreading. We have a few here, and they are now building another right up the street from my home.

Mel, The place sounds wonderful. We have one old time Chicken place left and it's always crowded...

Hey Mel I have seen these on trips down south but never stopped. Not a big fast food fan but we might try it on the next trip.

Obviously they had no Idea who they were speaking with in turning down your effort to promote their business.
