We have all seen the problems in this market.

We have friends and associates who have thown in the towel...

We have heard stories of heart ache and suffering.

Must of us have had our wealth reduced quicker in this market than we want to admit...

The story of Carlos is almost "unreal" he road the wave higher and farther than most. In his current situation, should the government bail him out too?

Why or Why not?

I think that we should worry less about who to bail out and concern ourselves more with how to think our way out-Dinah Lee

Very interesting. Well at least he is honest and doesn't make excuses. He will survive. Bail out? I don't think so. Where is his hardship?

Whoops! The video toke some time to load, I now see and heard Carlos' story.  No, I don't believe the government should bail him out and he isn't asking to be bailed out.  He seems to be taking the responsibility for the mess that he is in.

Bailout?  No. I think when he said he "got greedy" he said everything we needed to hear.

Carlos did on a grand scale what others did on a smaller scale. "Flip that House" and other shows made people believe making money was simply buying a house, spending a little on upgrades, and selling for a profit of thousands. It looked too easy; and for a time, it was.  Almost half the foreclosures in the first half of 2008 were investor owned.  None should be bailed out. They took a risk and lost.

How we recover from this mess will be fascinating to watch; no one yet knows where it will go. It will present some amazing opportunities.

Hi Charles

America is the land of opportunity, but opportunity comes with personal responsibility.

Good luck and success

Charles, he was a high roller, investing in high priced homes.  Sure he is a victim like many people, but as a realtor you would think he would have seen the slow down.  He just didn't see it coming.

The economy hit Carlos hard like it has millions of Americans whether large or small income levels.  If he is talented then he will be back on the top of his game.  No, he should not be bailed out and I did not hear him request to be, as he admitted his greed wanting more when times were good.

Charles, I believe that Carlos made his own bed and now he has to sleep in it. He is very honest that greed was his driving force. I don't think the golden parachutes we are supplying the banking industry is a very good example for the rest of the country either...

There are a lot of people in Carlos' shoes. No, They overextended themselves and knew it. I feel sorry, but when are we going to stop doling out the dough to every Sad Sack case...

It does seem that Carlos was greedy and is taking responsibilty for his actions.... What a concept :-)

ToulaRosebrock.com - Diane Turton, RealtorsHi Charles:

This is what is wrong now-a-days.

People are greedy and don't take responsibility!

I don't think this guy will get any bailout money.  It brings to mind the old saying, the bigger they are the harder they fall.  Frankly, I love this guy's attitude.  He admits he made mistake and he is ready to move on once he gets the mess he made for himself taken care of.  I like his attitude.

Charles,

I liked Carlos' candor and frankness...He blames himself, greed, and excessive ego...and he's right on...! He also says he wore too many hats...!!! One stop shopping business models should take note!!! Thanks,   Fran
