Tim gave me an idea for this blog when he was talking about the dry counties. This is the opposite end of the spectrum. The bars in the New Orleans French Quarter almost never close. You can get a drink or a great meal anytime of the day, night, cold weather, warm weather or anything in between. People do live here and have lived here for several hundred years. it more than likely has no effect on the real estate in the quarter unless you have a condo on Bourbon. Its more of a cultural thing. You do not need a car living in the quarter and have to have a spirit of adventure. We have some characters that come in all sizes, kinds form various walks of life. This is far from the mountains of North Carolina but another shot of America. throw in a couple of tatoo parlors, strip clubs, churches, parks, hotels, bed and breakfasts, world famoous eating places, a French Market, Antique Shops, Jackson Square and the Missippi River you have quite a place. Have a drink while you walk the quarter,no one will care. real Estate is not cheap here. French Quarter Real Estate . I may have a second home there but enjoy living upriver about 12 miles away.
