78702 Homes Attract Longhorn Parents

In 2006, 78702 was the Austin zip code with the strongest appreciation - over 28%.  It seems that Longhorn parents are taking notice.  I held an open house yesterday in 78702 an almost all my traffice was from students whose parents are looking to buy a home for their son/daughter to live in.  While at UT, the parents can get rental income from their child's roommates; then after graduation, sell the home to offset tuition expenses.  Not a bad plan, especially when you can easily walk or bike to UT from many areas in 78702.

Nice to meet another KW agent in the Rain, Emma! I think homes and condos for students are a great investment for parents when they are managed correctly, Do you advertise in the student newspaper or through the UT housing office?
