EXIT Realty Georgia reports:

EXIT Realty Georgia Brokers and Agents have been busy networking through Facebook, YouTube, and other social networking platforms. Blogging has become an important part of the real estate business and we are staying abreast of this Internet phenomenon.

Here are some testimonials from our agents:

From Jennifer Chambers, Broker/Owner of EXIT Realty Showcase in Rome, GA:

I started my Active Rain account in June or July and I blog about every 3-4 days. Basically it is like an online journal. In my blogs I always offer help to my fellow REALTORS. Sometimes I blog about good things that happen and then sometimes I vent. In March, when we were at the EXIT Realty Georgia Convention, I received a call from a lady that had read about my short sale frustrations and success in Active Rain. She explained she was new to the business and wanted to learn how to do short sales and foreclosures but the lady that had all the experience in her office was not willing to help! So I started sharing with her and giving her tips on how to work the deals out and how to "attract" business. Then BAM! things started happening! I always told her call me when needing help and also to call me when something good happens too! So for the past 10 months, I have listened and helped her.

From Dianne Dunn, Sales Associate, EXIT Realty Tri County in Hiram, GA:

We've heard a lot of talk about real estate blogging and the power it can hold for unlocking new business. Since I enjoy writing anyway, I thought I would begin a blog as well. I joined Active Rain, known as one of the top Real Estate blogs on the internet, and was first quite impressed with the wealth of information available for free on there! I immediately began reading everything I could find that could help me grow my business and my blog. A few months in, I received an email from an EXIT agent in Tennessee regarding a possible referral. We corresponded and then spoke on the phone. He then decided to give us the listing! Our first listing from "the Rain" as they say! A few weeks later, we received another referral from another agent. It was clear that the power of blogging was worth the time invested.

Judd ReynoldsI stopped by our Hinesville, GA office and was talking to our Broker, Bob Powell about a training event he had just attended over in S.C. He was really pumped up. He said the trainer also teaches other classes, and when he comes back to teach about social networking he was definitely going to go. He went on to say the instructor just "mentioned" a few quick pointers about social networking. One of the comments was about active rain. I knew of active rain, and had used it to scope out agents when I was buying a few years ago. Long story short, I decided to join and I'm glad I did.

I signed up on December 15th.  Without blogging or posting comments I was ranked 17th in my area by the end of the first day. Being the holiday season, I didn't log back in until after Christmas and found I had dropped to 25th. I also found out that you  get 100 points just for logging in. Wow, that's easy. I mostly just read to learn, but I kept logging in daily for the easy 100 points. Finally after the new year I started finding posts that compelled me to start writing. To keep this from getting any longer, I would like to say that I have been a member (mostly just a reader), but have been able to move to the TOP 10 position for the Savannah, GA area in under 30 Days!

I know some markets may have more membership and competition, but if I can do it, so can you! A comment by my broker inspired me to really use this venue. When I was ranked 17th, he said," Now you can advertise, I am in the TOP 20 in my area! Check out my profile on Active Rain". Sounded pretty good to me. What do you think?
