Everything REALTORS Should Know About VA Home Loans

By
Commercial Real Estate Agent with Matthews Capital Markets NMLS 2415712

I hosted a webinar tonight about VA home loans, targeted at REALTORS, to better help them understand:

  • how to present VA offers that get accepted.
  • the alternative underwriting model the VA uses for income analysis
  • how a VA home loan is a better choice, in some California counties, than a jumbo conventional loan
  • why 10% down payment conventional is more expensive than 10% down VA

The AUDIO IS HERE and will open in a new window. The links are here.  Listen along and click through the links as I discuss them.

I don't like AR members drawing visitors away from AR (the site that allows them to get known), but since you can't post audio on AR, I guess I have to ease up on this post.

Love VA Loans.  Ask buyers regularily if they are qualified for a VA loan.  Then I cross my fingers and hope that they property they pick out will pass the VA Appraiser's muster or even better be VA Eligible if it is a condo!  Can't wait to dust mine off to buy my "retirement" home.

Brian, great topic and great vehicle to help get the word out to the buyers from the source. Impressive. I do have a question. What vehicle(s) did you use to market the webinar and what was the attendance like?

Thanks

Bo

Btian,

I couldn't listen live, but I did hear the whole recording, yesterday. Well done!

What a great start on your series. You didn't mention that virtually any problem with quailing can be over come if the Vet has money. You may have to jump through hoops, but if you've got a good LO and he's got a great processor, VA can truly be make sense lending.

You did all active duty military a great service explaining the housing allowance. And, explaining the way to use VA loans for high end housing help all Vets.

Hope to be live next week.

Bill
