Canyon Lake has a well-manicured par-71, 75-acre private golf course. The 5,868-yard course is an 18-Hole Regulation Course with a Driving Range, Practice Putting Green, Clubhouse, Pro Shop, and has rental carts available or you can use your own. The course is operated by the Property Owners Association, and it's primarily for members and their guests. This SCGA-rated golf course offers all the challenges any longer course might have. The picturesque, tree-lined, 75 acre course has reachable greens and trimmed fairways and could appear at first to be a low-score paradise for golfers. However, its uphill, downhill and sideways lies make the course more imposing and challenging. On the golf course is our Country Club Restaurant overlooking the greens.
The Equestrian Center features a barn with 17 stalls and community room where horse owners can gather for meetings or socialize. There are outside pipe corals with covered breezeways. The facility includes a show-riding arena, a jump arena; turn out arena, a hot walker, and a double wash rack. The center also has a covered patio with picnic tables and access to riding trails.
Come and enjoy the outdoors at Canyon Lakes 7 ½ acre Campground with 90 campsites. All sites have level pads. 37 sites have complete hook-ups for water, sewer, electric, and TV and 53 sites have water and electric. There are complete facilities with showers, restrooms, washers, dryers, and ice. The camp has 5 docks that can hold 45 boats. There is a 350 feet long beach for swimming. The Campground also includes swings, horseshoe pits, and a volleyball court.
Many people enjoy the Lake for a variety of water sports which include waterskiing, boating, fishing, sailing, pedal boating, and swimming. Homeowners must have their boat registered in their name as well as insurance. The maximum boat length is 21 feet, and the maximum speed limit on the lake is 35 miles per hour. The Lake is patrolled by Canyon Lakes Security Marine Patrol as well as Fish and Game. Each year the Association stocks the lake with a generous supply of catfish and bass, which join the already stocked lake of bluegill and crappie there for the fishermens enjoyment! There are many lakefront parks with sandy beaches as well as docks to tie up your boat.
There are Tennis Courts with night lighting, a newly constructed lodge that offers wonderful dining and banquet facilities, meeting rooms for your special events. One of the parks has a performance stage for the Canyon Lake Theater Group and for other Special events. Canyon Lake has so much to offer for almost everyone with over 50 clubs to choose from, you can be as socially involved as you desire. A bit of paradise-Canyon Lake!
