Heart of the Valley is a Skilled Care and Nursing Care Facility in Corvallis, Oregon. One of the first things that caught my eye were the finch aviary and the larger birds in cages. They were so cheery and welcoming. There was a sofa in front of the aviary where one could sit and watch the happy little birds go about their daily lives. There was also a fish tank and I saw one big cat napping on a chair. I spoke with Hollie Martin who is the director of social services. She helps provide long range planning for the clients individuals needs. For short stays, she works with discharge planning and home needs.
