As you are evaluating new tools/technology to implement into your business, remember that they should be relatively easy to use, and save you time/effort. Rich.... most of what you mentioned would seem like common sense. One thing that I have noticed, which you bring up, are those comments that are worthy. Making meaningful and thought provoking comments seem to be what is lacking with many comments. I think that is one of the better ways to get noticed around here. Writing quality material and then not only great follow up within the comments of your blog, but comments on other members blogs. Just my .02... overall, this is a great introduction to those starting on AR and to those that just don't get it... and do it hald ass in my opinion.

The awesome part of your post, is that it shows me how much I've learned in my short month here. I started with such a blank canvas, and by focusing on progress, not perfection, I actually know a fair amount about what you are talking about. That last line, however reads like the eye exam chart of nonsensical information. Maybe I'ld better open both eyes for that one.

I almost feel sorry for all the agents who didn't listen when about 8 years ago, they were told to get a personal web site. If they didn't even do that, they have to be hopelessly lost by now. If there's one thing we should all know, it's that we can never stop learning. Life keeps moving faster and faster. And technology is multiplying everything exponentially.

I spent a day last week in a class taught by Claudia Wicks of RE Base Camp, and was amazed at the number of people who have not attempted ANYTHING related to social media, and how much resistance they expressed. So I thought it might be helpful to map things out here.

Thanks for this great information. Well said, I now have to start implementing some of these ideas.

This was perfect for not only those new to AR but for those of us who may have missed something along the way.

I often hear about agents saying how overwhelming it is to do all of this but it really is in their best interests. Lots of agents contract with a Virtual Assistant to help them manage this portion of their business and that works out perfectly!
