Hedwig Village was incorporated in 1954. It is one of the smallest self-ruled municipalities in metropolitan Harris County. It is dedicated to single-family homes with 21,000 square feet minimum lots, with the exception of "Zone B" which is a self-contained commercial zone featuring the service of banks, grocery stores, etc.
Like the other Memorial Villages, Hedwig Village feature spacious lots, large trees, quiet streets, private city services, and an aesthetic blend of older homes and new construction.
