Are you using Facebook to connect with your friends, business associates and family?

Facebook

If you are not already taking advantage of Facebook's great networking potential, then it is time that you should.

Where else can you get up to date with what is going on with your friends, family, clients and business associates all in one place?

I have been experimenting over the last few months with various social media sites to see if they bring targeted increased traffic to my website, and have been pleasantly surprised by Facebook.

I have been excited at how many old friends, clients, and acquantances that I have been able to connect with from all over the world, and especially with my family who are all in the UK...... that has been one of the highlights for me:)

Apart from Facebook being an awesome tool to connect with those you care about, it has also brought me many new friends, several home buyers, a few listings, referrals from past clients and other agents, and also last but not least exposure to my websites.

I have also joined many Real Estate and non Real Estate Groups, and have found valuable information on Internet marketing.

I would therefore encourage you to set up your facebook profile and then build your friendships.

I have  learned lots of useful information from the groups that I have joined.....including the Tibetan Terrier Club!

The only draw back is the time that you can spend spend there, and here, reading and commenting on interesting profiles and blog posts but it is thoroughly enjoying!

I would love to connect with you so visit my Facebook profile page here

Facebook is so great for seeing what everyone you know is up to. I love looking at everyone's photos, silly and serious. Also good for connecting with potential clients.

Hi Anne:  I'm just starting to get the hang of this social media network and am so amazed at how bit this thing is (and time consuming).  It's hard to keep up with e-mails and Active Rain and Facebook but I think you're right, there is a lot of information out there and friends, family, and acquaintances that need our insight as to this crazy market and economy.  Take Care, Catherine Kierzek, Re/Max Realty 100- Milwaukee, and Oh By the Way, I'm never too busy for your referrals!

Thanks for your post, Anne.

I drifted away from Facebook when I found that it was time-consuming. I may need to follow your advice and take a closer look.

Hello-

I think facebook is great for keeping in touch, but I don't really market on it.  Of course, I think most people I've friended would probably refer/use me anyway.  I think facebook works because it's not overly 'in your face' about that stuff.  A tough line to walk!

I love Facebook. It has gotten me in touch with so many people I don't see very often and reminded them that I am in the real estate business!

Hi Anne - I just recently began to explore the Facebook.  I don't want to use it for personal info, but rather for business purposes.  I try to connect with other real estate professionals.  It is time consuming to really keep up with it.  I haven't really got to know all the secrets of Facebook yet - still learning how to use the site to its full potential.  I do want to use it as one of my marketing tools

Hi Anne - I'm in facebook and have been re-building "old" relationships as well as generating new relationships in this media.  It's one of many resources I use.

Hi Anne,

I use a number of networking sites, including Facebook and Twitter.  It helps a great deal to keep in touch with people.  These sites help clients get to know me as a person.

Anne,

You're on the money about Facebook! I've reconnected with people I hadn't had contact with in more than a decade, and one of those contacts turned into business!
