What Does Today's "Google" Logo Mean

One of the things I admire about Google is that for holidays they decorate their Logo. I also wonder how long does it take them to do the artwork and enjoy what they come up with. Today's logo has me stumped. It sort of looks like a moon scape but I don't know.

Can anyone out there enlighten me?

Leslie, perhaps it has something to do with that guy that found a crater using Google Maps----no clue:)

It is Samuel Morse's birthday. The man who invented Morse code. Hope this helps you! If you take your cursor and put it over the decorated google daily name it will show what it means and you can click on it, all the information will show about whatever the decoration for the day is.
