I’m not going to tell you to have coffee boiling away and bread a-baking in that homely oven, and soothing music drifting through the house. Those things are superficial and house buyers are not easily fooled. They have come to carefully inspect your home. But some things might, things like these.
- Nothing puts off eager buyers more than dogs smell, cat smell or for most pets for that matter. Just because you as owners don’t notice it, you can’t guarantee the buyers won’t as well.
- Put away those old artifacts and mementos that you may collected through the years. Get rid of them all, except perhaps your best pieces and arrange them tastefully so they are shown off to their finest.
- Be realistic on the price. If you really want to sell your property, you have to compete, and that includes competing on price.
- Sort out your yard and garden. Spend a few hundred on it to make it look inviting.
