OK...so a couple of years ago Jeff Belonger , A.K.A....the true mortgage dude...asked me to write the mortgage week in review. I must have sucked b/c it's been a while. Now, I think that all the top dogs are on spring break and I'm the last man standing. I'm honored to take part, so without further adieu....Here are the top dogs showing the top posts of the week.
Great stuff from Gwenn Tanvas. A two part Series that really brings to light the importance of credit repair, and a how to, that separates fact from fiction.
Is Credit Standing In Your Way Of A Home? Tips From The Experts - And Credit Repair Questions Answered - part 1
Is Credit Standing In Your Way Of A Home? Getting Negative Items Deleted From A Credit Report - Fact or Fiction? Tips From The Experts - And Credit Repair Questions Answered - part 2
Tips for BNI Members - Shawn Gerhardson is out telling the world about all of TIPS of interfacing with your local BNI group. These groups can be great in certain locales. Good stuff.
Como Utilizas Tu Tiempo Cuando Sales a Lonche? Have no friggin Idea what Eddy is saying here. However, I'm giving a shout out and kudos to someone who will reach the masses in English and Spanish. He's tops in California for a reason.

Gene Wunderlich and California AG Issues New Fraud Warning. Warning homeowners in California about a huge fraud scheme in which the letterhead of major bank(s) are used to defraud homeowners out of their life savings through their home. Brutal, yes....but the post is worth reading.
Fear...False Evidence Appearing Real...ROAR! Although I really don't reach out to the realtor community with Mortgage Pro, the week in review, I am aware that there is a certain favorite here who could be using some serious prayers in the next days and weeks in recovering from a surgery that never quite accomplished what it set out to do for her. Remember and pray for her.
Should I try to enforce a 'pre-qualified buyers only' requirement on my listings? Again, a realtor, but a top notched post asking the question that every lender wants to know. If a realtor enforces the "pre-qualified" buyers provision....then what will the net affect be to a real estate agent enforcing those requirments? Good discussion.
Our economic mess, who to blame and solutions To say that this is self explanatory would be to overstate the obvious, but it does go into a great deal of information in leading us to a conclusion as to what caused this economic collapse and how we'd go about fixing it. Some pretty interesting ideas from a
newcomer to Active Rain.
Melissa had a great post....Is That Property You Have Listed Eligible To Be Sold? Melissa brought to the attention the importance of title searching and searches. She takes us into the problems of selling a home that go beyond the obvious. Good information for mortgage people and realtors alike. Call your Title Agent Today!
Finally, Mr. J.B. himself shines with his awesome post Do your Guarantee your GUARANTEE??? He talks a lot about Guarantees and what they're made of. Really it comes down to what's behind them. Many times a guarantee is nothing but words. Those with integrity will walk off a cliff to honor what they've provided in the form of a guarantee. Those who carry a shovel and who dish it out daily....well....guarantee is just another meaningless word. When working with a loan officer make sure that they're guarantee is good and real.

Thanks again for carrying the heavy load and sorting out these fine picks. I caught a couple but missed the vast majority.
BTW-"How do you use your time when you go out to lunch" is the closest literal translation of Eddy Martinez' post.
