So you want to get a "deal", a "bargain" and in your eyes, that means a SHORT SALE.
Be prepared for many things 1) rejection, 2) long waits, 3) rejection, 4) hard work, 5) rejection.
There it is. Short sales can be a great opportunity to get a wonderful home at below current market value AKA a "deal".
The thing is, the majority of short sales are listed by agents who haven't the foggiest idea how to make a short sale transaction work - how to get them to closing. So... if you want to buy a short sale, you need to connect yourself with an excellent buyers agent that knows and understands exactly what a listing agent can (or can not) and should (or should not) do to close a short sale transaction.
In short - The North Idaho Dream Team knows what we are doing and we have had excellent success in actually closing short sale transactions for both our buyers and our sellers.

Give us a call when you are ready to schedule a showing. Please remember - some of these properties are priced appropriately (ie, slightly below market, not at a price that covers the loan).
Hi Christina - You are spot on with this post. Unfortunately there are many people out there who have no idea how to process a short sale. You certainly stand a better chance if at least the buyer;s agent can help you navigate through the ones that will never close and help you to make offers only on those short sales that have a chance.
