Making a POSITVE move a POSITIVE one!
For the first time in 30 years, with 27 of them being an established Realtor in Florida, and knowing my town inside and out I have made a BIG location MOVE myself from Florida
to Lake Keowee in Seneca South Carolina. 
It has brought to mind all the reasons a person will like or not like their new area and if they like it then it seems to me that if you are their agent you will be highlighted in their minds for ever more.
My husband and I made the move three months ago and low and behold EVERYONE I see and talk to is a STRANGER.... EVERYONE.
At churches we visit, to grocery stores, to the post office, neighbors and now at my new office. It is a different story always being the outsider so to speak. While in my case everyone has been nice it stands that I am soooo aware of how we stay in our little groups of friends and if you are the NEWBIE you have to work hard to fit in to these groups.
Fortunately I did work to get out of my box and joined the chamber, the Rotary and now after taking my SC real estate exam I am associated with a great real estate office. Also in this town of Seneca SC is a NEWCOMERS group( another blog cause you might want to start one where you live) that is simply fantastic!
As real estate agents we just might go that extra mile and help introduce our new homeowners to a few folks and provide them with a list of groups that will make them feel welcome. Surely it is not up to us but if we can help, it might be the difference to them liking or not liking an area.
It is harder to be NEW than you think!
AND by the way I am still working on redoing my "new area" site!
