Active Rain Epiphany - What is yours! - Janice Roosevelt, Ecobroker ABR, ePRO - Matt Fetick Real Estate - Keller Williams - A & DE
Well Janice - thank you!! Its funny isn't it? I do agree its a very therapeutic and 'safe' environment (for the most part) to share or vent.....And it definitely is a lot cheaper then having a therapist! :-) Thanks for making your AHA my AHA!:-)
Last night reading Liz Moras's blog about frustrations with a duplicitious agent - we've all met them -- I had an "AHA," an Active Rain epiphany. It as about the power of this siteand how we could be paying therapists thousands of dollars to "understand" our problems, but here we not only get understanding we get possible solutions, and like good therapy, self-realization and the opportunity to "change."
Liz's blog was entertaining, to say the least, and elucidated feelings that we all share when working with a colleague who is not on the up and up. It was healthier way than some to deal with feelings that could only trulyby understood by people, a.k.a. agents, who understand, becuase it has happened to then. .
There is such power in that. It is one of the reasons that the 12-step program Alcoholic Anonymous, has worked in bringing people into recovery, who might not otherwise find a solution to their disease. Only someone who has "walked the walk" truly gets it.
I thought it cute that Liz, perhaps because she brought up to be a "good girl" and not complain, wrote a subsequent blog about things she was NOT going to let bother her. We are in an age of the Secret, positive thinking, and all that good stuff, where we are suppose to think and meditate our way to good feelings. And let's face it, sometimes this business, or life just stinks! You have to acknowledge it, not wallow in it, but find healthy ways to deal with it and then, in time, move on.
So, for my "AHA" this AR moment, I thank the creators of this site and would love to hear your AR "AHAs"
