Fort Fisher is an historic area of North Carolina where a major battle of the Civil War was fought.
It is located at the Southern-most tip of New Hanover County about a 30 minute drive form Wilmington. An area of exquisite beauty, where Live Oaks bend towards the sea, and gorgeous vistas srround you... Be sure to visit the fantastic NC Aquarium while you are in the area.
From here you can take the ferry across to the charming village of Southport in Brunswick County.
