Weekly Design Tip #2

By
Home Stager with Platinum Home Designs

Never underestimate the power of the toss cushion!!

Weekly Design Tip #2 has 2 tips!

1. Always try to inject at least one object that is BLACK in the room...it helps ground the space and add some depth.

2.MIX UP VARIOUS TEXTURES IN A SPACE in order to make a room interesting. In the Living Room below,  we have used woods, metals, glass, fur and silk cushions, with a sisal rug,

I love the wall color, the artwork and the sconces...they really make the room pop!  I too believe that black is the magic color that will make a difference in any room.  Since everyone loves the painting do you have any idea where they bought it or who painted it?  Would love to know, as it has all the colors I love in it!

Julia...

I just had to come by and meet the lovely lady who posted clothes for Flat Caleb.

I am not altogether surprised that you're a Stager :)

Nice work with the clothes. You cracked me up with that :)

Thanks everyone!

The painting is by artist Joyce Combs....

I absolutely fell in love with it...

it adds vibrance to the room. The main furniture pieces and walls are neutral( walls-Benjamin Moore-"Nordic Gray"..it's a taupe green colour_; therefore, when you get bored of these colours, you can just change up the pillows, throw, and art.

Look for my post next week on "DRAMA"
