Help - I'm teaching a "Techy Social Media" class for the first time tomorrow.

Here's my question - other than Active Rain - which we all LOVE -- what do you consider to be the 3 most important Social Media - Tech Tips you would give a "beginner."

Decide which market you are going after

Propagate your presence in all the major social media networks

Be active - don't just sign up and not visit the community - LOL

If you do an AR search for social media tips - i bet you find a virtual encyclopedia of stuff. Good luck

Ronnie- thanks -- I'm teaching on how to Blog, Twitter, Facebook etc -- obviously can't cover all that in one day.  They seem to think I'm an expert!

It does not take long to become an expert once you delve into AR!  It is an excellent teacher.

  • I would say to teach the c o n c e p t of online marketing analysis.  If you don't know how Twitter or Facebook or Linken works, you can't set and obtain any sort of goals.
  • I would also say that SEO is an important factor in blogging.
  • Finally, copywrite law and content.
