MV (Motor Vessel) Pegasus Close Up © 2007 Codger™ ImagesOkay, I admit it, Jay didn’t post a “Good morning Gentle Readers” post this fine Monday morning, and…well…it’s because I distracted him with a better offer! I dragged him up to Cyber Two Harbors before dawn. Why? You might well ask.

I got us a former Cyber Great Lakes fishing trawler. 70’ (waterline) hull length, with a beam of 24’, the boat is powered by a pair of 200hp Cummins Diesel (of course, biodiesel), oh never mind, this is a cyber-boat! It doesn’t need an engine!

Were it a real boat, it would have a maximum speed of 11 knots or about 13 mph. With 200 gallons of fuel, it has a maximum range of…aw heck, there I go again! A cyber boat’s range is unlimited!

So I oversaw Jay’s graphic artistry as he “built” the boat in Word, and I learned some new words. At my age, who’d a thought that possible! Jay really has an extensive, um, colorful vocabulary!

Then he asked: “Why are we building a boat? What would we use it for?”

“We could have our characters do all sorts of things, I can think of a hundred stories!” I told him. That was a mistake.

“OK Med,” he said, smiling, “YOU better start writing.”

“Only if I’m the Captain,” I said, knowing he didn’t have much patience left for drawing.MV (Motor Vessel) Pegasus © 2007 Codger™ Images

“OK, I’ll do it!” he said, “start writing.”

Neal: (Darn! I just missed him!) Your idea and my idea of a "cold winter morn." are just a bit different.

George: Sooner or later I'll catch up to him, he doesn't move all that fast!

Linda: He's runnin' & I'm chasin'!

I suppose that would be spam?  I was hoping for some fresh fish.  Do you have lobster in that lake?

OK, I know I have been gone a while.  I have missed some stuff.  I have fallen behind, but WHERE ARE THE PICK Axes? Plow Shares?  I think the new pic is just gorgeous but I miss the axes.

The reflection on the water is what got me, too!  You are seriously good at graphics.  I come here for the companionship and entertainment and I never leave disappointed!

Ines: Well—yesterday morning. Medford had his “brain-storm(?)” Monday morning. Now we shall see if my reluctant writer partner will write any nautical stories for our entertainment.

Maureen F: It was past time for a change in the profile picture. The plough shares are now in the Codger Library Archives Section (a climate controlled storage area), where it and all the other valuable artifacts of the Codger experience on Active Rain are stored for inclusion into the not yet built Codger Museum.

Sarah: …and your comments never disappoint. Thank you!

Beautiful graphics, love the details! Have to agree with the reflection. First thing I noticed was Med's Capts hat ;), then the beautiful red's and blue's in the full shot of the fishing boat. I would love to be able to watch Jay do his magic on the computer, fascinating!

78 species of fish? dangggggg that is a ocean....

Med, I can't wait to hear more from you!  This one was great and look, you guys even got some exercise thrown in.  Did Jay ever catch you?

This must be one of the great results of your last camera tour. Fantastic. Even a coffee cup in hand.  How did you decide to name her Pegasus II?  Did something happen to Pegasus I?

Three years ago my husband and I decided to take a "vacation" to the other side of the island. Spent hundreds on fishing gear, got a room at Laie Inn and for three days didn't catch a darn thing!  Did make a friend at the beach though! (didn't have any fish pictures but kept this one of the friend!)

Lysa: Watching Jay doing his graphics thing is kind of like watching a huge puzzle being put together; very slow as each little piece is drawn and placed…but the verbal accompaniment does add more color than the drawing (oh boy, I’m gonna have to go back on the run after this comment)! The colors have been changed, we hope that won’t be too big a disappointment.

Chris: Hmmmm.

Maggie: He did, but by then he was too tired to do anything about it. Good thing, too, I was too tired to do anything about it LOL.

Lisa: “Pegasus” was Jay’s sail boat (16’ Sloop) that was recently given to a fellow who will completely restore it.

Celeste: A new friend is better than fish any day.
