Carolina Raptor Center between Charlotte and HuntersvilleMy 2 elementary school age daughters have put the Carolina Raptor Center on there MUST DO list for spring 2009.  The center is located in Huntersville, NC

We usually take the girls at least once a  year.  Carolina Raptor Center is in a natural setting and home to many raptors including; Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, Barn Owls, Barred Owls, Screech Owls, Hawks, Falcons and more.  Carolina Raptor Center treats injured and orphaned raptors. This is a very educational and fun experience.

On our last visit to CRC, a volunteer gave my 7 year old daughter an owl print.  She treasured it so much we had it framed and hung it in her bedroom.

A GREAT PLACE FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN.  Learn more at www.carolinaraptorcenter.org

I love raptors.  We have two hawks at my house(well out in the woods).  They will actually share with each other.  I saw one swoop down and grab a snake and then take it up to the branch to eat.  I wish you the best.
