Now is a great time for first time homebuyer's to get a great deal. If you haven't owned a home in the past 3 years you are eligible to receive up to $8,000 returned as a tax credit though 2008. Prices are down, you can't go wrong. In the past the credit was to be repaid within a certain amount of time. For the year 2009, this credit which is up to $8,000 does not have to be repaid.

1 Comments on $8,000 First Time Home Buyer's Tax Credit

I recently was able to buy a new home and found this 8k tax credit to be an incredible bonus. It will help greatly.  The credit combined with the falling home prices and the lowest mortgages in a very long time make this an exceptional time and I feel fortunate it all came together for me. I believe the tax credit closes at the end of this year I believe.
