Anyone who has ever watched Sesame Street is familiar with the "One Of These Things Is Not Like The Others" song.   I thought it would be fun to use this Sesame Street approach to demonstrate how effective staging can be at attracting potential buyers who are searching the MLS.

Are you up for the challenge?  Ok, then...

Which one of these things is not like the others?

One of these is not like the others

Did you find it?  That's right, one of the bedrooms was Staged.  It's not like the others.  It's much more appealing.

Want to play again?

One of these things is not like the others

Wouldn't you prefer to be selling the house that stands out as different from all the rest?

Sharon - I love Sesame Street and used to do a pretty mean cookie monster impression. You're right of course, staging does make a huge difference.

Sharon, no question about it; staging sells. And, sellers are now becoming more aware.

Sharon, I was looking For Ernie's Rubber ducky in the bathroom in the second set of photos.

Sharon- this is why you are an agent and I am not.  I would have tried to do it with a Metallica song!  I'm not so sure it would have worked out as well as your idea...

John Mulkey:  Thank you!  I am seeing more awareness here, but we still have a long way to go.

Steve:  The rubber ducky must be in the tub, yeah that's it, it's in the tub!

Nevin:  Ooops, no...I'm not an agent either!  But, I appreciate that you think my post worked out well!

Hmmmm   I'm sort of partial to pink & blue.  Are those good staging colors in MA?  I like your bottom right bathroom shot.  Nice!

I am going to think of you now every Monday at 10am when my grandboys and I turn on ELMO.  What a fun and very effective post!  You are so talented and clever.

Sharon you are so creative!  Great way to showcase your work.  This would be a great idea for a table demo at an expo.  It would be a conversation starter at the very least!  Thanks for sharing!

It's a little late, but I think I went 2 for 2. Sharon, I really like your post, and as an ASP, I certainly agree about the value of staging.

Patsy:  No, not unless you are talking about a baby's room!  Thank you, the bathroom you like is in a vacant home.  I warmed it up a little!

Cathy:  Every Monday at 10 huh?  How cool is that!  Thank you!

Sheila:  You are pretty creative yourself!  It could be a fun little display with the Sesame Street music playing next to it!  I love it!  Thanks.

Dan and Amy:  You better have gotten them both right.  If not, I would be worried about you!  Thanks.

Kathy:  Thanks!  Who doesn't love Sesame Street?  It brought back memories for me just hearing the song.  It has been quite a long time since my kids were that little.

Michele:  I am so happy you like it!  Thanks!

Judy:  Oh Judy, you are so sweet!  That's right, I can make everyones lives so much simpler just by being there!  Thanks!

You're so talented Sharon and I love your visual test. Really makes you realize the value in using a professional. One problem...I'm gonna have that song in my head all day now :>)

Lee and Carol:  Thank you so much!  Sorry about the song, but it could be worse.  It's a Small World...now that would be worse!

Debi:  Glad it brings back fond memories for you!
