The easiest 'virtual tour' I've ever done.

I had some photos, and I use Picasa to keep my photos organized.

If you upload your photos to PicasaWeb, you have the option to "make a movie."

You can add music to the movie, and then voila - you create the movies.

Upload to YouTube (this is the first one I tried, it's photos of my son golfing) and you are DONE.

All this in less than 10 minutes.

Is the UTube link supposed to link to your slide show??  It didn't for me.  Question - can you store your pictures on PicassaWeb?  I don't like keeping my photos on my computer as they take too much space.  Right now they are stored on Snapfish and I'm not real happy with it.

I use both Picasa and Flickr (mostly Flickr) so I have photos stored elsewhere besides on my laptop. Have a great day.

Will it let you get an unbranded tour that can be uploaded to the MLS?  I just signed up for Previste.com, which is a vast improvement over visualtour.com, but is it even necessary?

Susan, great inexpensive way to get your photos up on the Internet for maximum visibility. Thanks for the links.

Susan:  You're NOT making 'movies'.  You're taking your MLS pictures and randomly zooming in and out for no reason.

Why?

What does this add for the buyer?

You're taking usually not very good photos that have already been viewed, and now you're zooming in and out, putting music behind - for what?

Why do people think this ADDS to your listing?  It's NOT a virtual tour.  Lipstick on a pig is still a pig!  It's insulting to buyers to take the time to view a so called "virtual tour' only to find the same thing - zooming.

Not only that YouTube degrades the quality of your probably already not so great photos to the point where they are almost unrecognizable.  How does THAT help?

I only hope all Realtors do this, because it will make ME and my marketing look stellar!

I just learned about Picassa and after making some mistakes I've learned to love it!  But I wasn't aware of PicassaWeb, will have to try it!  Word of warning with Picassa:  I've found that if you "sharpen" an image it may look great at first, but when you get it posted in MLS or wherever, it looks distorted.  In other words, don't fix what's not broken!

Thanks!

Great info... I always used Windows MovieMaker, but i'll have to give this a try... Does it come with any royalty free music to use?

I clicked on YouTube in your post, and I saw scary references to the haunting.  Is that what I was supposed to see?

Something very simple and just slips our minds because we are always thinking it must take too much time and be difficult:) I use Picasa all the time and use the webalbums but never think about pressing the make a movie button! How simple is this! Katerina

Kate- I put YouTube general link - I'll switch to the movie I made of my son.

Cameron - thanks for the comment

Suzie I use Flickr too - this is just so easy

Barb - yes unbranded cuz it's really a photo show to music if you want

Noama - yes easy and free

Michael- super easy, free is always good

Mark - I never stated it was a video tour, it's a way to make a movie out of still photos I already take.  Just one more tool for those who chose to use it.

Sandy - I'd love to know what you think

Beth - yes you shouldn't edit in picassa edit in Picnik

Christopher- I used music that I had on my computer from CD"s I've purchased

Deborah -- Youtube link as the general company link - going to change to son's photo

Katerina - I love all your blogs, and your tips are awesome.  SO glad to add something for you.

Wow - Sounds just like what I've been looking for.  I used Property Previews, they are free and syndicated to YouTube, but now they charge $5.00 each for the YouTube service.  I love ZingDing tours - But I've been looking for something free and easy to use with YouTube in addition.  I'm going to check it out now!  Nice golf show.

Thanks for sharing
