Rice Absorbs Water from Electronics!

This weekend I was working on brochures for a real estate agent. All of my data was saved on my thumb drive. Somehow I forgot that I had placed the thumb drive in my jeans pocket instead of my purse. You guessed it, my

jeans were washed...with the thumb drive still tucked away in my jeans pocket! I didn't realize it until later in the day when I was searching for my thumb drive.

I remembered the advice Beth Torrence shared to a KW family member regarding rice absorbing water from electronics. Once I switched the load of laundry and found my thumb drive, I promptly headed to my kitchen. I placed my thumb drive in a zip lock bag with a cup of rice and sealed the bag. I let the rice absorb the water from my thumb drive overnight. I am blessed to say that all of my data is still located on my thumb drive! Thanks Beth!

Larry - I'm sorry I was in such a rush Sunday. I wanted to talk but had previous committments and I was on a tight schedule.

Wow, Jamie, the day was saved from one of Beth's past tech tips. I have those saved and I think it is time to start reviewing them. I saved your tech tips too. You two are the Kim Kamando's of Keller Williams.

@Beth Torrence- It was a big Ah-Ha moment for me. The most simple tech tips we take advantage of may save priceless data, or save an hour of time.

@Mike Nastri-I'm so blessed I read Beth's tech blogs. I wouldn't have realized I could have saved my thumb drive...that still works like new!
