Ok, so I am an avid HGTV watcher. I watch it every weekend, and have for the past 3 years or so. I watched before I bought my first home, during the purchase of my first home, and still watch now, two years into owning my home. I only tell you that so you get an idea of the range of demographics they have watching the channel.
All that said, I have noticed they are heavily promoting their new website, www.FrontDoor.com. They are still in beta (in the web world, that means testing). The site is live, but only brokers with over 100 listings can submit their listings through a feed. The option for brokers with less than 100 and individual agents will be given within a year.
Once this site is completely up and running, I think it will be a great place to advertise your listings, promote yourself through advertising packages, and have further enhanced listings. HGTV is doing a lot of promoting to drive traffic to the site, so I'm excited for them to be out of beta so we can see what kind of results this site will produce.
Another note - Several big sites are already syndicating to this site:
(Just to name a few that we use and have noticed)
These major companies have seen the value - so if you use any of these sites, check out www.FrontDoor.com - your listings may already be there!
