American Express has been delivering packages for a while now.  Do you remember when they got started?  In the 70's or 80's some might guess.  Actually, it was in the 50's, but not the 1950's.  It was March 18, 1850 when Henry Wells and William Fargo formed the American Express Company in Buffalo, New York.

I always thought American Express was just a credit card company.

I am also curious. Are you talking about American Express or Federal express? Oh, you are right, just googled, they started as a mail company. Interesting find.
