of your home, but you should proceed only when you are ready

commitment that requires a lot of attention in your part.
Only your participation will help you make informed
decisions that will reduce your stress. Not all renovations
are created equal. Some contractors will perform better than
others. Our experience and open communication allows us to

surprises.
At Traditional Homes of Georgia LLC we recommend you start
with a good plan, as this will help you reduce
misunderstandings while your work is underway. Depending on
the complexity of your project you may need to involve a
designer, so first step in
home renovation is to decide whether the project is
simple enough to do it yourself, or if you will require a
designer to help with the planning. We can help with that
decision, many projects do not require additional design
assistance. We can recommend Design Professionals if needed.
Once the design is set in a plan Traditional Homes goes to
work estimating all the costs involved with bringing your
plan to life. We will work with you to plan the construction
using the most cost effective materials and labor. We then
will provide a very through agreement specifying the
complete terms of the job. Once the agreement we will begin
the job and not stop until your plans are complete.
If you are renovating your home in order to sell it, here
are some tips:
Kitchen
Kitchen renovations, including new stone counter-tops,
new cabinets, new appliances and new floors, will help you
sell your homes fast and for more money. Kitchen renovations
can range from installing new countertops or new floors to
adding new state of the art appliances, an island or
revising the layout. Kitchens can be easily updated by
re-facing cabinets, resurfacing existing countertops and
replacing old flooring. The Kitchen is one area that people,
family and friends tend to gather. The kitchen is the center
of your home. This is why when you are looking for a new
home; the condition of the kitchen is one of the deciding
factors when you make the decision to buy a home or not buy
a home. Updating the kitchen can make the space more
functional. In general, kitchens undergo the most wear and
tear of any room in the house (except the bathroom of
course). When selling a house, kitchens sell. So get started
and get rid of old kitchen units and worn appliances. A
renovated kitchen may clinch the sale. Kitchen renovations
generally pay back the highest return on investment in
resale value. Until you actually sell, you will have the
opportunity to enjoy the rooms too.
Bathroom
Bathrooms and kitchens are the most popular rooms to
improve and because of the added value these renovations
give to your home. Bathroom renovations can create a stylish
retreat that not only add to the value of your home but also
give you a quiet and relaxing place to end a stressful day!
Have your goals for any bathrooms renovations determined
well in advance of the project so that your bathroom
renovations stay within your budget. When designing your
bathrooms, think of the following things: Size - What size
do you want your bathrooms to be? A full bath will include a
sink, toilet, and a bathtub with shower. A three-quarter
bath will have a sink, toilet, and maybe only a shower. A
room with only a sink and a toilet is defined as a half
bath. You might consider adding a window or a skylight.
Remember that a bathroom without natural ventilation can get
damp and moldy so ventilation is an important consideration.
These are only a few ideas but the sky is the limit. Please
contact us, Traditional Homes of GA LLC. for a free in home
consultation and we will be glad to provide information that
will be valuable in your future renovation/repair plans.
