There is a song called The Southern Cross by Crosby, Stills & Nash and one of the lines goes; "the truth you might be running from is so small, but it's as big as the promise, the promise of the coming day".
I have been thinking about that line for a few months and have come torealize what this means in relation to my real estate business.
I've been trying to implement some small changes in my business plan lately. Each change in and of itself seems insignificant but you just never know which step or series of steps may result in a sale or a listing.
Nothing is really insignificant. That note you send, blog post you write, phone call you make, act of kindness you perform, etc. will touch someone. It will give you exposure to people and that is how you grow your business.
Connecting with people is how we grow our business - it only makes sense that the more people you know,the more people will know you and what you do. Letting them know who you are and what is important to you, helps them feel a level of comfort they can't get with a complete stranger.
So think about the small things you have been avoiding, it could lead to big things tomorrow.
Such a great message! I'm sure whatever "little" things you are implementing will turn into big results! I believe you have a natural ability to make people feel comfortable with you right from the start. I was!
I like that song too Judy. And yes, it is the little things that matter in life and business. Anyone who says don't sweat the small stuff is not living a big life. Every little thing we do affects someone or something in someway. If we were all more conscious of that fact on a regular basis the world would be a happier place. Good post and best of luck. Judy, sometimes it is those small things that make all the difference in the world. I went to a business after hours at our new chamber tonight but made it home in time to sit with my husband and son as they ate dinner; a small thing but HUGE to me.

Marchel - I relate - one of my favorite little things is to cook lobsters(I don't eat them) for my hubby and son and watch them enjoy. Wierd what gives us pleasure.
