I recieved a call yesterday from Leah Sigmon.  She is a teacher at Bandy's High School.  She explain what her call was for.  She was wanting to hold a fundraiser for a family that has a baby who has had heart surgery.  She explained that the baby has been in the hospital since he was two weeks old and now is about 3 months old.  She is trying to raise money for the family at this event, and wanted to know if RE/MAX ever provided the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon for events like this.  She was thrilled that I said of course, and we would make it happen.  I also explain to her about what RE/MAX does for the Childrens Micarcle Network.  My office has donated protions of our commissions to the Levine Childrens hostpital in Charlotte, NC.  This is one of the many hospitals that Luke has spent time at.  We are thrilled that we can do this to help this family in need of our services.  Below you will find the Story on Luke and the time and date of the event.  Hope to see everyone there, this is a great cause!

UKE Wesley Sigmons Story:

Luke Wesley Sigmon was born on December 3rd, 2008. He is the son of Wesley and Lyndsi Sigmon. For the first two weeks, Luke was a very healthy boy but we soon realized that he had a serious condition that would land him at the Levine's Childrens Hospital. Luke has the condition known as VSD with an interrupted aortic arch.

With the help of the Lord and the many prayers of family members, friends, strangers, and everyone else Luke Wesley has successfully made it through surgery. They took him back at 10:05 a.m. on December 16th and at 4:15 a.m. on December 17th his miracle working surgeon Dr. Baird told us that his heart was improving already and the surgery was a success.  Luke had a slight problem with one of his lungs due to some irritation from the breathing tubes he was on.  Xrays of Luke's chest shows improvements.

The Sigmons of Sherrills Ford have spent the past three months in hospitals in Catawba Valley, Levins Children's Hospital and now in Boston Children's Hospital.
