It's not often that I have a topic to write about to other agents. I pretty much stick to community posts.

But this week my new laptop arrived! I have not had time for twitter or reading my RSS feeds.

And when we're ready to transfer over the file, the external hard drive dies!

I'm getting ready to write a blog post about spring cleaning. Yes, spring starts tomorrow and work is picking up.

My point is that there's always something that has to be done and there's always something that does not get done in a day.

I still have a small stack of flyers and brochures to review from the NAR convention from November! At some point, most will become obsolete and I can just trash them instead of filing.

If I could just arrange my priority list in a way that I can still find time to get to the "when I have time" pile, I'd be happy. But until then, I'll be thankful that I have clients and plenty of work that needs to be completed today.

Jennifer - Changing laptops is definitely hard to do!  It sounds like you're pretty organized, though and will get through this change smoothly... :)

The stress of transfering all your info to a new laptop is almost enough to kill the joy of the new device. Good luck & I have some asprin for you!!

I am planning on making the switch from a PC to a MAC and know it will be a learning curve and I already feel over whelmed with all that I have to do.  I get prospective when I am thankful for the business I have and all that I am doing is to keep ahead - it's not as "have to do" as I make it - more like "good to do" and give up the self inflicted stress.

Jennifer,

I dread the day I have to change laptops.  Anytime I have had to upgrade to new hardware, it kills days of my life.  Love technology when it works, hate it when it doesn't.  Best of luck.  Your thoughts about trying to stay organized could have been written by me.  Always something to do at the end of the day that doesn't get done.  You are right.  Be glad that it isn't getting done because business gets in the way!!

Not just laptops, but all computers.  Before the advent of the windows registry it used to be fairly simple to transfer programs from one computer to another, but now you have to reinstall everything.  What a time waster.
