I have a listing for some commercial property on Route 219 in Fairlea, West Virginia. The signs we originally put on the property were the regular Realtor signs. Since this is a busy location, the property needed larger signs, so we ordered two new signs (3x5).
Well, since my partner and I could not put the signs up, my broker Tom Johnson. and my husband, Claude, volunteered to put the wood posts in the ground. The posts had to go in the ground about a foot or more to ensure stability.
So, after work, I drove by the property to check out the signs.....and OMIGOSH....one sign was on the wrong property.
So, Tom and Claude ..... go back to the property and remove the sign that was on the wrong property....THIS TIME I GO WITH THEM!
As you can see...the men are busy bees. While working on this task, Tom gets a call from someone who lives near the property to tell him we have a sign stating Commercial property for sale. The caller goes on to say that the property is residential and you can't advertise it as commercial. Tom politely says, "yes we know and at this time are fixing this error". Whew....glad we had removed the sign before more calls started coming into the office.
The moral of the story....if you want signs placed correctly on the property, do it yourself or be sure to tag along.
This prime commercial property located across from the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center , consists of 3.77 acres with public utilities. List Price is $380,000. Easy access to and from the hospital (directly across the street). The property is an ideal location for a medical clinic, pharmacy, apartments, etc.
