Want to gain valuable insight into a neighborhood?? Try driving through it at various times of day and night. You will see more in an hour and gain more information doing this than surfing the net. There have been many new homeowners who were attracted or deterred from buying a home because of unusual observations they made while driving around. The best way to start is to circle potential neighborhoods on your map and then take a drive during all times of day and night at random. Develop your own system to get the most insight, but no matter what method you use be sure to take notes on what you like and didn't like on your tour. As you drive your circle make notes of what you see and what you feel:

* Are there people loitering around ?

* Will you be proud and happy to have the local businesses as your neighbors?

* What is the flow of traffic like?

* Do the owners take care of their homes?

* Are there too many For Sale signs here which could indicate a hot market or people trying to get the heck out of dodge?

To get the real scoop on a home or neighborhood, then spend a couple of hours walking through the neighborhood and talking to the neighbors. You will be suprised about what people will say...local politics, ordinances that everyone hates and juicy gossip about who is doing what and with whom. Amongst all the news you will receive you will also get some great gems and nuggets which can be useful in determining if the neighborhood is best suited towards your needs. When walking through the neighborhoods look for people outside playing with their kids, walking their pets or simply out washing the car or gardening. You can start up a conversation by being honest and polite about what you are doing and then proceed with several of the following questions:

* Are you happy living in this neighborhood?

 * What do you love most about this neighborhood?

* If you could change one thing about this area, what would it be?

* Which streets do you consider to be too busy for kids?

* Do you feel safe walking outside at nighttime?

* Who do you think would be a good fit for this neighborhood?

Need a good Real estate agent and Realtor in Coppell. Go with an agent that knows the area, lives in the area and will SERVE you. Are you tired of being talked down too?? Are you tired of being treated like a number...pressured into things you do not want to do..getting vague answesr. Don't you deserve the best??? Don't you deserve GREAT SERVICE?? Not all Realtors and Real estate Agents are equal. Some know the business but have unbelievable bad Customer Service skills. I have spent my life in the customer service business. I am appalled at what some agents think customer service is. You need to go with an agent that knows the business and knows great customer service. That's Pat OReilly!!
