Feels like a CONSTANT CLASS REUNION - New Jersey calling!

I am getting so many calls and emails from New Jersey people lately, it feels like a -

Class Reunion

CLASS REUNION!

You see, I grew up in Northern New Jersey - in Pompton Plains, went to DePaul High School (date blocked intentionally!) in Wayne, NJ, and then moved to New York City. Between then and today, I've lived in many parts of the country, but I always end up back in the Mid-Atlantic area. Today I live in Milton, Delaware, and my office is in Lewes. Lately I am spending more time with New Jersey folks than I have in many years and I'm having lots of fun!

DELA-WHERE? As a child, we went to Atlantic City on Easter Sunday to walk the boardwalk. We would spend a week here and there at the Jersey Shore each summer. The day after the high school prom, we all took off for Long Beach Island and got our first sunburn of the season. We never visited the state of Delaware and none of us ever thought we would end up retiring to the Delaware beaches.

WHAT HAPPENED? Taxes happened, that's what. As Baby Boomers approach retirement and the taxes in New Jersey and New York have gotten more and more onerous, they are discovering Delaware. It's not so far from home that the kids and the grandkids won't visit. A quick trip by Ferry (Cape May/Lewes Ferry) and you're on your way to visit friends and family or a weekend in New York City. Head west an hour and you're in Annapolis; another hour and you can be in the Nation's Capital.

Delaware is in the heart of all we love about living in the Mid-Atlantic Region and far enough away from the things we could do without - traffic, taxes, congestion.

Join me in Delaware, at least for a visit. You never know - you just might like it!

Really great approach to talking up your area.  A place with lower taxes sounds pretty close to heaven to me.
