We at Design To Market LLC  recently had the opportunity to stage a beautiful home in the Cincinnati suburb of Anderson.  The master bedroom is large, the attached dressing room is spacious, and the master bath has real potential deliver the "spa like" feel that can be so appealing to a prospective buyer.  The challenge was easy to identify:

  1. The furniture was not arranged to it's best potential
  2. The bedding was dark and slightly dated
  3. The wall colors were a shade of pink that would not be broadly appealing to the market

Take a look...

Now look...

  1. Repositioned furniture
  2. New bedding
  3. A coat of paint

Beautiful work! Did not even notice the lovely window!!  Great redesign and love your staging. Color palette is perfect with the fireplace.

Thanks Cathy Lee.  We often find that sheers mask attractive windows and really don't ad much to the overall look of the room.  We take them out whenever we can.

JO!  I took some down today.  I am going to post tomorrow.  The landscaping out the window was too pretty to cover.

Hi Jo,

What a difference YOU have made here!  Not only is the bedding so much more appealing, but the furniture placement makes much better sense for this room and it's features!

Great job, Jo!  Your arrangement is soooo much better.  I also like the way you have highlighted the window and placed the mirror to fit the trim details in the room.  It all looks beautiful!

It looked more like a living room with a sofa in it in the 1st photo.  Now it looks like a bedroom.

What a great transformation Jo!  You've properly highlighted the fireplace and the window, and the paint color is so much better too.

The sellers must have liked the idea of being able to look out the window from the bed.  They most likely never used the fireplace.  The didn't like walking around the bed to get to the bathroom.

This proves you live in your house one way and sell it another.

Good job on pointing that out to them

The seller makes all the difference.  It is great to have clients so motivated to enable these changes to happen!

Jo ~ Love it, even with just the furniture moved!  Now I can imagine waking up or going to bed with a fire in that fireplace.  The window is gorgeous, good idea to remove the curtains.

You even made the dated tile fireplace surround look like it was meant to be. Great before and afters!

Thanks Connie.  I think the wall color and neutralizing the trim aslo made the fireplace more appealing.

Great work!  Odd that they would position their bed so that the foot juts into the fireplace.  Looks like a fire hazard.

Much better furniture arrangement.  The window's architecture helps to highlight the fireplace.
