I feel like I'm living in limbo, maybe a maze, maybe the twilight zone. My head is spinning, going faster and faster trying to keep up with pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, dollars, five dollars, ten dollars, twenty dollars, fifty dollars, one-hundred dollar bills. Now it is millions, trillions, zillions what's next?

Ok - OK I got a little carried away. Good News  - I'm realistic about the future and not overly stressed out about the current financial situation. I'm willing to adapt to tough economic times by finding ways to use less and save more. My Question: Will this go on forever? Is this just temporary? I know I can't really do anything about it, maybe write a letter to someone that may read it or may not even open it.

Are we going to live the rest of our life listening to the she said, he said, she did, he did. The person is a crook, this one knew but forgot that he knew. Trust someone to handle your money that you use to have ...but don't have anymore because they really didn't invest your money and kept it for themself.

Seems everyday there is a new crisis. What happens when we run out of  a crisis? I guess we won't have anything to talk about anymore waiting to check out at Walmart or Home Depot. We can spend time watching the evening news without excitement.

I think I'm ready for a quiet, peaceful world. Maybe the 50's wasn't so bad after all. At least your knew who your friends were and who you could trust.

Ahhhhhhhhh that's the word......Trust......Who can you  Trust?

Sounding Off on a Friday night and I didn't even listen to the ten o'clock news.

Have a good, quiet and peaceful weekend all our friends at Active Rain. Soon, and I hope soon the real estate market will turn nice again.

Your trusting friends. Carl and Ceil Winters.

    Howdy there Carl and Ceil

I sure do know how you are feeling. I have also been thinking about this. But just like you, I'm not going to let it stresse me out. The 50's sure was a good time. And you sure did know who your friends were, and who you could trust back then. Thats for sure. A bit of quiet also.

    Carl

You are reading my mind. When it really boils down to it when everything else is set aside and peeled away....what we have left are values like trust. Thanks for reminding us!

Carl, We certainly can't trust the bafoons that sit on Capitol Hill that's for sure. (Read my post "We the People") That being said, I trust the people of this country to do the right thing because Congress has the conscious of a rattle snake...

Good Morning Dale - Trey and Michael. I went to bed last night wondering if I did the right thing blogging on this subject but felt I wanted to share my side (or since I read your comments) our side of how I believe many people are feeling.

Recently I've heard helpless, scared and words that that point to these exact feelings. We can't go back but need to find a way to STOP what is happening. If you can't trust people that we have to deal with in everyday life how in the world can you even begin to imagine what the future holds; not only for ourselves but our children and grandchildren.

What was once a beautiful, vibrant and growing country has been turned into something almost ridiculous to deal with, and grows more ridiculous each day. We use to play the game of Monopoly with funny money;  now we are printing funny money as fast as the printing press can go with no end in sight.

Only time  will tell and God help us all.

    Thank you for your comments.

Hey Dale - Spent most of the day outside. Went to the county and picked up a trailer load of mulch for the garden. What I've done is completely redoing the garden. Put in a slowdrip system on one side, covered with a weed barrier, plants went in and now covering with mulch. This should save on water with the drought we have been in. Put in tomatoes, green pepper, japaleno pepper, beans, cucumbers, squash, cantaloupe, and later in the summer will plant some okra. Hope we have a good crop this year. Didn't do much last summer as if you remember we were busy with the driveway. Still have not finished the pump house.

It was a nice day today to work outside. Still need some rain. Well I'm about to call it a day. I want to watch Huckabee tonite, he is in Elkhart and diong a special interviewing all those people that are unemployed.

    See ya sometime tomorrow.

    Carl & Ceil,

Very well written; we are in a "who's to blame" society and we need to break that circle.  Dem's blame the Rebup's and vice versa!  Let's move on and, not find out who's to blame" but work together to make us the strongest nation in the world. once again.

Frank - Well said my friend. As I said previously on one of your blogs I believe it should be a WIN-WIN for everyone. Stop wasting time and resources and get something done ;it is better then doing nothing at all. Move the Ego's aside and get down to the people's business. Move forward and get something accomplished.

I am glad you wrote this post... it is what everyone is thinking. I had customers that told me that they trusted me and it made my day. I agree with Frank... we all need to work together. Our country was built by the people and I feel it will get better if everyone does a small part: get back to basics, saving, being kinder to the world around us and to each other. I think AR is a great place to start... all the people I have met really care about others. So Thanks Carl for a great post! Brenda

    have a great day

Brenda thanks for stopping and your thoughtful comments. Sorry I'm late in responding but have been away from AR for a few days. Had to go to a three day class to get my home inspection course hours to renew my license and got a little behind.

Hope things are going well for you.

I'm pretty sure it's just temporary. It's the debt that's probably permanent. The government needs to just print $10 trillion and pay off the debt and let's start again with a balance budget.

Sure hope the printing press doesn't break down or maybe if it did it would be a good thing. Seems everyone needs a bail out these days. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a balanced budget and no debt?
