RE Tech South Conference--Both a BLAST and a Learning Experience!

What an exciting experience--I'm still not over meeting some of my favorite blogging 'heroes' including Jeff Turner, Jeff Corbett, Jeremy Blanton, Missy Caulk, Jim Crawford and Teresa Boardman here in Atlanta at the Real Estate Tech South Conference! Then there's Pat Kitano and NicNic (of Twitter fame), Mary McKnight and the list just goes on and on!

Blogging buddies Thom Abbott, Elizabeth Ramsey-Golden, Mara Hawks, Lane Bailey, Connie Harvey and Susie Blackmon were AWESOME to meet this week! What an amazing job the RE Tech South guys did with this presentation--the guests were on time, spoke accurately of the changing times and Web 2.0, gave us incredible tips and so much more.

One of the best parts was putting faces to names and blog posts and comments! Here's the first post to share one of my favorite photos from the conference with Thom, Jeff (Turner), and Jim Crawford.

Frank: You have GOT to be kidding me?! OMG, I am SO sorry that I didn't think to give you a heads up! I was so overwhelmed with trying to negotiate a couple of offers and tying up loose ends to get down there--then meeting folks and attending classes, it just didn't occur to me that you may be on that side of Atlanta. SO sorry! UGH! It was great--now you need to attend the one in Charlotte in a few months--details to follow...

Hi Missy a.k.a. 'THE Rockstar!' What a pleasure meeting you as well--I chatted with TLW on the way home and said just how wonderful it was to meet you and we both agree that you simply ROCK! Your presentation was fabulous--both the visual and the 'spoken' parts!! (loved the graphics!) I enjoyed spending time with you and getting to know one of my AR heros!

CONNIE! WooHoo! You were just a blast to hang out with and I am so glad that I was able to meet you! You brought alot of laughter to the group--and just as you said, you ARE what you say you are and I love that about you! I can't wait until the next one!

Teri! Oh, he was awesome! I loved his presentation--very relaxed, off the cuff and right on target about how we need to be doing what we're learning here. Debe! The table was great. I like the music in the restaurant, and the food was fab...but I am a little hard of hearing. My voice was so hoarse the day I was speaking that I was not sure if it would hold up. Thank God it did. I had a great time meeting you and everyone, and yes it was fantastic connecting the faces to all my friends from AR! I hope to put a post up tomorrow regarding the event! I look forward to doing this again sometime soon.

Jim: Wasn't it?! I too, had a hard time hearing anyone unless they were RIGHT beside me! Your voice held up for you--at least I could hear you just fine. You guys did a wonderful job and I am so glad that I actually got to hear you speak and didn't go into one of the breakouts during that one. I can't wait for the one in Charlotte--you and Thom will have to hit the road and come up OUR way!

Hey Sis! HA--I have MAJOR catching up to do and there are just not enough hours!! I can't believe you missed the tomato class--are you SURE that wasn't intentional!!!!! LOL I had a BLAST too! I am SO glad you made the trip and can't wait to see you again. I wish we had had a week instead of a two days! Debe, glad to hear about how great REtechSouth was! We were at NAR in October and ditto, I felt the same way about meeting Jeff, Missy, and many other AR heroes of mine! We were scheduled to go but a relocating buyer had to change their schedule - and they found me because of my AR blog. Didn't seem right to refer them out when my AR business plan was coming to fruition! Maybe we'll make the Charlotte conference. When is it?
