Naples Statistics
Naples is changing...and growing! Did you know that Collier County is the largest county in area in Florida? According to the 2000 census, Collier County is also the 2nd fastest growing area in the country. Here are some other interesting Collier County statistics:
• 76% of the population is under the age of 65 (according to University of Florida, Bureau of Economic and Business Research, Florida Population Studies, 7/04).
• During "season" (November through April), the population increases by one-third (per the Collier County Comprehensive Planning Section, 9/03).
• Between 2003 and 2010, the population is expected to increase by over 28% (University of Florida, Bureau of Economic and Business Research, Florida Population Studies, 7/04).
• Naples has the highest Median Household Buying Income in Florida at $47,548, and is 29th in the nation (Sales and Marketing Management, 2002 Survey of Buying Power).
Naples is a desirable area, otherwise we wouldn't be seeing so many people moving here! With growth comes change, as we have seen with Naples developing into the prosperous area it is today. I grew up in Naples and remember when Immokalee Road was two lanes. That may have been almost thirty years ago, and a few road-expansion-projects later, but some things never change: the sun continues to set over the Gulf and we are all lucky enough to get to see it on any given evening. You can't do that in too many places!
