Over the past 2 blogs we have looked more closely at the 5'Ps of marketing (Positioning, Packaging, Promotion, Persuasion and Performance), and discussed how home staging plays an impacting role in the marketing mix.

This blog we look at PROMOTION

The Wikipedia defines promotion as: "This includes advertising, sales promotion, publicity, and personal selling, and refers to the various methods of promoting the product, brand, or company."

As we have previously discussed home staging in marketing materials such as websites, MLS and feature sheets, we can elaborate and use home staging as a leverage in the real estate industry with other medias as well:

Listing Packages - Home staging can be the differentiator to make listing packages stand out against other real estate agents. Include your success stories and testimonials of securing asking price and more.  Including the CSPTM Sellers Edge DVD in a listing package will bring visuals to the presentation as well as show the benefits of a well showcased house. It explains the process of a CSP consultant and the value of the staging consultation.

Ads/Brochures - Property staging can also be used as a marketing advantage in negotiations and for attracting new clients; for example in print ads, a marketing message may include" List with me, and I will provide a complimentary home staging consultation of your property".Brochures with a coupon from the real estate professional can be included in both the staging consultants brochures and the real estate professionals.

Cross Promotion - There is a power in connecting with the right home staging consultant. A CSPTM consultant is trained to incorporate cross promotion techniques in their marketing that will help real estate professionals build business through website links, sharing staging articles tfor publishing in newsletters, providing beautiful property staged photos, and advertising both the real estate professional and the property on the CSPTM website, under the staged properties for sale' directory.

Networking and Referrals - Home staging is great for customer retention and referral business. It shows the agent cares about receiving the best possible price for their investment. People are attracted by results and sellers who get more than what they expect will tell others!  Tip: At networking meetings come prepared with a mini photo album of success stories, before and after photos, and statistics of your properties that sold with home staging, it will help others understand the power of listing with you.

Promotion is about being at the right place, at the right time and with the right message!
