I have wanted to do that as well. I have been very creative in coming up with excuses, however. This inspires me.
I'm queasy just looking at the pictures! Yikes!
OMG that is so brave---and crazy! I will never do it and pray I never get pushed out of an airborne plane. I'll only dive if ther's water...not AIR...which rhymes with SCAIR! Hats off (helmets on) to all you brave birds!
Liz --- WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would freak out also, if my daughter or son told me they were going to go sky diving --- better to be told after it is over, I agree. Very neat photos. Thanks for sharing.
Liz----definately on my "bucket list"----jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.
Pretty to watch them come down but not anything I have ever wanted to do.
My 26 yr. old did this for his 18th birthday! He immediately wanted to go again! Even as a little boy he was fearless, jumping off things far taller than he should have, and climbing on things he shouldn't have...we always called him adventure boy, and then he took off for Alaska for college!
Hi Liz-That was very nice that you brought us the whole story. Best wishes if you do it yourself and CONGRATS to your daughter for being so courageous. YOU taught her well. Have a great week. :-)
Liz, thanks for the extra background with your daughter on this. It seems if you just want the excitement and thrill of skydiving the tandem jump is the way to go. I have got to imagine you had some severe butterflies with this. Leaving a perfectly good flying airplane. Crazy!
Ah,
I love the picture of her right before she jumps....she has this certain look in her eye (like, what am I doing up in this plane?!)
It's something that everyone should do....the peace and serenity is something that you won't forget!
Good for her!
Liz - I would not want to know about the jump ahead of time since I would be a nervous reck.
Whoa! What photos! Glad it was such a positive adventure
Liz - how cool is that - I have always wanted to sky dive and definitely have it on my list! What great pictures.
Shoot I just realized that I didn't respond to any of these comments! sorry guys! I so appreciate your comments and read them on my blackberry - and then these days I so often never get a chance to get on my A/R on the computer........for more then a few minutes! I try to catch up on weekends! Thanks!
My daughter its a lot like me in many ways - although I can't say I'm as fearless as i used to be.......I have much to learn watching her! lol
Hi Liz—I'm afraid I was just like your daughter at her age... and still like that today. I learned early on, after I left home, not to tell my parents about some of the things I did until afterwards. Otherwise I would never have been allowed to spread my wings and fly - LOL! Great pics of your fearless daughter! Have a great week!
Liz,
Hot damn is right. Probably better than she told you in the hindsight view. The preview might have been quite breathtaking. Dig the photos.
Congrats to her... I have a deathly fear of heights... but I have skydiving on the bucket list... maybe in 2010 for my 40th birthday...
dam ryan youre not even 40 yet? hmm lol
Liz,
I get vertigo just looking at the pictures. I did this years ago-not anymore.
Have to tell you Terry -it IS on MY bucket List! :-)
